I am taking it to KY for it to be quilted, I can get it done so much cheaper there even with the cost of shipping added in.

Anyway I hope it is well recieved when the recipient gets it in a few months.

I made this for Ronnie for Christmas last year, just now getting around to taking pics.

He loves his 55 Chevy Gypsy so when I saw this fabric I had to make it for him.

I sent it to my cousin in KY who machine quilts to finish it up for me.
It is quilted in the exact color of his 55.

He loves it, He wants it on the bed all the time.

Never mind have a new comforter for it!

It has been a busy few weeks.

Hubby has been to the doc and goes back tomorrow for test.

she is gonna be something else!

I have been trying to get ready for my road trip to KY, we leave out on Friday and will be back Wednesday.

I got my baby today!!!

I finally got my Rocketeer!!!!

She is GORGEOUS!!!

And runs so smooth, no knocks like my other one.

The only problem was the cover is a bit worse for wear but the the machine itself is perfect!

I can't wait to play with it this weekend.

I will post pics of her and the projects we will be making together.

My vintage funky purse collection grows!

I love these little BoHo basket purses.

I keep my hair products and brushes and make up in them in the bathroom,

Cute and usefull!

My smallest one (and biggest investment in basket purses $6) is this Holly Hobby one. It is unlined.

This one was created by a decoupage demon! It has everything on it, S&H green stamp, Hawaiian Punch dude, birds, flowers you name it and it is on it pretty much.

Even a penny!

This is actually the worse of the bunch it needs new felt on the bottom, the hinges are sprung, the lining is worse for wear and the mirror replaced since it is missing.

But I love it just the same and for $1 the price couldn't be beat.

My mom got me this one,($2) which I thought was kinda funny since the list is inscribed "made for mom"

It has Nieman Marcus, Hilton and various other stores around Houston I am assuming since it has the Astrodome on the top.

This one has a penny on the top too.

Any clue as to why so many of these have them?

So all together I have $7 in my basket purse collection and they ususally sell from $10-$80.

I think I am doing good!

Plus the thrill of the hunt when I go to thrift shops, yard sales, estate sales, and antique stores is so great.

I have been looking forever it seems for one but they always seem out of my budget $40-$50

I found this cute sushi themed purse with chopstick handles, I hate sushi but I had to have the purse. And it was only $3.94!

And at the same shop I found this great NEVER been used lacquered photo album with a Japanese theme.

$4.94!

Now to save up for a trip to Japan so I can fill the album with pics!

(more likely the Japanese garden in Ft. Worth, I didn't save nearly enough at the thrift shop!)

Texas Frightmare Weekend

We had a blast!

Hubby won "Least likely to survive the zombie horde" with the car, even thou I think she would.

He enjoyed all the other drivers and their rides. All the while I was inside standing in line to meet my favorite horror movie actors and directors. It worked out great, especially since he can't stand crowds.

This weekend has been a busy one around the pondarossa.

Hubby washing, taping and painting Dedemona (check out the pic ) getting her ready for the Shock Rod and Hearse car show at Texas Frightmare Weekend this coming Saturday.

I will already be up there, I am staying the weekend and enjoying all the festivities at TFW, the movies, the V.I.P. party with the stars, all of it!

I am SO glad hubby is taking Dessie up there we should win something (maybe) last year two of their categories was "most likely to survive the zombie horde" and "most likely to star in a B-movie". Just look at her she should take at least one of those home!

Plus we have been mowing and weedeating and yet it looks like nothing has been done. All this rain we keep getting keeps it growing like mad!

My roses I got from Hubby's nanny's place when she passed last July are all budding if not blooming! I am very surprised since they laid out in the sun for a week and a half no dirt or water on the roots until we planted. But good old heirloom roses are hard to kill.

I need to find some boards to make some raised beds. Trying to find them for free but no luck.

Gonna keep looking. But I did get 4 tomato plants in the ground, they were leftover from my mom's little flowerbed garden she is trying out. No idea what kind so it will be a surprise if they make it.

I still have no sewing room so no crafty stuff happening due to that room is still a rental for our roommate and because of that I haven't been able to unpack my crafty boxes.(going nuts from lack of crafting!!) But on the upside, after the before mentioned car show I get to redecorate the car!!! New curtains, paint, ceiling, and seat covers! We are gonna try to hit the Hearsecon in Englewood, CO in June. So now I get to make a little redneck, horror home on wheels. This could be very interesting to say the least! I think a revisit to my Texas Chainsaw Massacre DVD may be needed for some inspiration. LOL

I haven't even really been in the mood to get my camera out! I don't know what is wrong with me. I've just been kinda Meh! I am gonna have to start forcing myself to get out and do something. Besides I have loads to do to turn my yard into someplace I would want to be.

Thought it quite funny when I got home with the fabric that the name of the collection it comes from is Mariner, considering the daddy is in the Navy.

Ok my dog loves beer. I mean he LOVES beer.
If he sees you with a bottle he will hunt down to find an empty one and try to trade you for it.
And the only other thing he loves more is squeaky toys.
Well his Nana found a squeaky beer bottle at Tuesday Mornings and got it for him.
And he loves to drive us nuts with it.

Well last night we started making juice out of the prickly pears.
It is the most beautiful fuchsia color! I think it would be great for some natural dyed yarn.
We are looking at close to two gallons of juice from this batch of pears. Then comes jelly making time!!!

My granny gave me and my mom all of sewing and embroidery things. This pillow case was in there with the pattern my Mammaw drew on and started but never finished. Well I couldn't find the color she was using, and I didn't want to rip out her work I just stitched over all her stitches with a verigated floss. I love how it turned out.

I finally got the shower fixed, everything REscrubbed(stupid plumber making a mess on my walls...grumble grumble grumble) I got my granny's old Neil the Frog canisters, napkin holder out on the counter. And I got a great deal on eBay for two Neil the Frog hanging planters/candle holders which look good hanging from the hooks in the ceiling. Oh and I FINALLY found a cheap 84" long shower curtain for the shower in there, most I found they wanted $120 for. I think not!!And it is so AWESOME to have my very own bathroom(for the time being)
No nasty boy messes, my own personal sanctuary.

this is a quilt i was making for our "shag van". I already made curtains out of the center fabric and blue tiger stripe. And then this was going to go on the bed hommy made out of the massive speaker box. But the motor blew up before i could finish it. Do me thinks i will add another round to it to beef up the size then finish it.

We are finally home. The show absolutly rocked!!! One of my top 10. ZZ Top blew me away, I enjoyed them much more than I expected, and Aerosmith,what can i say...they blow my mind everytime i see them. A great time was had by all, we even enjoyed the Krystal burgers after the show. Now i am off to dream land so i can go to work in the morning.

Ronnie is running a trailer race on the 25th. The rules are 15 laps around the track, first to finish with thier trailer still hooked on wins. They want he trailrs to be decorated, or you can pull a boat or a camp trailer or a pop up tent but it must be popped up. His sister is making two dummy's a man to lay on the couch and a woman to sit in the chair. It's gonna be a mess!

I have a history of shitty birthdays, 16 had to go bowling with my drunk father(I LOATHE bowling) 18 had to bail my mom out of jail, 19 my niece got ran over, 21 first car wreck and it just keeps going, up until last year when we had to sell our house and hubby got fired.
Well this year looks to be different!!!
My sister called last night and asked if we wanted to go to the ZZ Top/Aerosmith concert tonight, of course I replied HELL YEAH!!!
Some guy she works with had 4 tickets and then something came up and they can't go so he GAVE them to my sister and her boyfriend, so they called and invited us!
And the best part is Ronnie is actually going to go!!!
Usually I have to beg him and the only ones he agrees to is Jimmy Buffett and Rob Zombie but he is excited about seeing ZZ Top!
Anyway this week is looking to be a good one!!!

Ok i am not trying to ignore my blog. It just that not much is going on. We took my mammaw to the omni imax to see a grand canyon movie. Then i have been working,still not used to full time work. And now what little crafty bits i have been trying to finish up will have to wait longer. I was putting a baby down in the crib when i felt a tendon in my wrist pop. So i am in my ols reliable wrist brace for a week. UNluckily for me i have done this around six times so i know what it feels like and how to treat it. If it is still bothering me in a week then i will go to the doctor because that will be tendonitist setting in, and he can shove a needle in there and pump it full of steroids. I did tell you i have done this before.

I went thru mu fabric stash and weeded out all the fabrc i will NEVER use. Like the double knit polyester. I am giving that to this lady my mom knows who usws it. But my stash went from two BIG totes,one under the bed tote and two boxes to one big tote ond the two boxes. Well that is until i start unpacking my craft boxes. I know i have some more in at least three of them, not to mention the yarn and crochet scraps.

I got all this, at a gas stationin town that has an organic grocer in it, for $6. The bag of potatoes was only $1.49. And the tomatoes are not hothouse ones either, but nice, lovely vine ripe.I could have gotten a lot more radishes for a lot less but who needs a 2 pound bag of radishes? I just needed enough to make some good macaroni salad. That does it that is the only place i am going for my fruit & veg.

How not to grow tomatoes.

This is ONE cherry tomato plant. It covers an 8'X8' section of the yard. My MIL planted it and watered it everyday. Big mistake.
As long as she was watering it all it did was produce vines, no flowers. Finally after three months of watering it and no flowers let alone tomatoes she decided to just forget about it. Well that was when it turned white with flowers! Then by the beginning of October it was COVERED in tiny red tomatoes.
Needless to say we had plenty of late season tomatoes.

Oh and that is my handsome, 6' tall, hubby Ronnie picking some of the stragglers.

And some of the brick off the outside too. Some frineds came in and ripped all the interior walls out for the wood and took the hard wood floor out too.
This is where the garage was, but we took it. Now hubby is thinking of calling the city and complaining about the how tall the county let the grass grow. Anything over 4" is a code violation. LOL we just think it would be funny.

Just found 2, 5 foot rat snakes in the backyard. Took some pictures then let them in find a new place to hide. Unless they are poisonous or in my house we let them be. Rather have them out there taking care of vermin that having the vermin move in the house and us run the risk of the dogs catching a poisoned mouse. I have had that happen before and its not good. Besides they were at the very back of the property not next to the house.

Its been a really long day so we decided to go to bed early. Hubby is in the shower. I am sitting on the edge of the bed i decide to get up and turn the light off and what do i nearly step on a 3 inch long scorpion! And of course i have no bug spray in the house. That does it i am calling the Orkin man! I have had it 1 scorpion and 3 black widows. I'm done. Not to mention the camelback crickets.

OMG! Ok i spent a week when we moved in scrubbing the master shower. I don't think the former owners ever cleaned it. I mean Scrubbing Bubbles didn't know what to do with it. But at least Ajax and the water hose did. Any way now i have get out the bleach and do it all over again since the plumbing decided to hiccup on us. The toilet decide to back up into the shower. It could've been worse(not by much) it could've just over flowed and sam into the bedroom carpet. So hz guess i should be happy with the lesser of two evils. But went know what it's still freakin' evil.

First off on monday morning i was bagging the trash when i step on the towel bar laying in the floor that i was going to throw in the trash. And cut my big toe DEEP. Deep enough that i got the nerve because i now can't feel the tip. Then this morning i was washing up the coffee cups Ronnie brought in from his truck. That way all the dishes would be done when i came home from work. Sounded like a good plan. But little did i know when he plopped them in the sink that it cracked a handle and when i picked it up to wash, the handle would fly off leaving a razor sharp piece sticking out to slice through the palm of my hand. Leavine a two inch gash that needs stitches. But me get stitches, only if a limb is going to fall off with out them. Its all butterflied up and wrapped in vet wrap. I just want to know will this week ever end?

I made the best homemade brownies yesterday. I have one true baking talent and that is the ability to make kick ass brownies. They were doctored by putting some of my Pampered Chef Sweet Caramel Sprinkles in a layer in the middle. It turned out very good. It really turned down the fudgeiness of them and every few bites you get a hint of a toffee like flavor. Then when Ronnie got home we painted the cabinets, selves and trim in the craft room. I am hoping tonight we can get the ceiling fan up. That will give us some light. We are not putting the old single light back up. Instead we are putting the one from that was in our bedroom. It has four lights, that should give me plenty of light in there especially since the room colors will be so much lighter too. Them all we will have to do is save up for the new flooring since it is just pitted concrete. I think i willy try painting it then putting a clear coat on it for now so it looks better nice i mean its not like we don't we have the paint. I am getting excited the closer we get. I haven't had all my craft stuff in one house let alone one room before. I mean my fabric stash has been at my MIL'S for the past two years.

Well the weekend has came and went. Didn't get as much done to the craft room as i hoped. Hubby had to work Saturday so that just left us with one day to paint. Our paint sprayer is very tempermental so i don't use it. I leave that to hubby. So now our former navy blue room is stark white with an oyster ceiling since that was as far as we got in painting. Which is fine since i haven't decide which color of left over paint to use. We decided to use the left over paint from when we painted the rest of the house, to save money and make more space in the linen closenet. I am leaning more towards the greens than the browns. Mainly because the room tends to be on the dark side and the greens i have are light and airy. I am hoping that Ronnie will spray the cabinets and shelves for me tomorrow night so i can get the walls done Wednesday when i am off and start unpacking this weekend.

I sent all day yesterday cleaning and moving bedroom furniture. I got our queen size bed out of my craft room and into the front room. Ket me just say i never want to have to move that monster by myself buds again. Now this weekend i have to finish emptying out the craft room so we can start painting. Them i can start unpacking all my crafty crap. I am just keep getting closer and closer.

Back at work today. Kids are back in school after swine flu closure. Which means we actually have more kids since some parents kept them out of day care. Anyway... I need to find a place that has some cheap cedar poles so I can start fencing off my garden spots. I am thinking of using cedar poles and chicken wire not only will it keep the dogs out but the stray rabbit that may get past the dogs. Plus if I can get hubby to but down some of our cedars, that we both are allergic to, it would kill two birds with one stone, and save some cash. It's just that I am chomping at the bit to get started on the garden, so any progress will be good progress.

So today we went canoeing with hubby's brother and his wife. It's tiger 10th anniversary and they wanted the four of up to go. We took a 10 mile trip down the Brazos river. We fished, cooked out and had a ball. Everyone but my brother-in-law caught some fish. Final total was 2 catfish, 2 drum. And 3 sand bass. We didn't keep any. We saw more snakes in the water than we could count. But all but one was from a safe distance and that one ended up being sacred off by us. We are beat. Nine hours on the river I am ready for bed.

This past weekend here was the Texaqs Frightmare Weekend, it is a horror movie convention.
You get to meet your favorite stars, watch cool movies and hang out with other horror movie freaks like yourself.
This was my second year to go and it was a blast.
This time we spent the weekend at the hotel that was hosting it.
And I have to admit it is kinda cool stepping in the elevator with an actor you admire.
Any way this year they had loads of great people there, the ones that really stick out in my mind(the ones I met) was William Forsythe(The Rock, Devils Rejects, Stone Cold), super cool guy. Karen Black(Triology of Terror, Burnt Offerings, Airport 74), she still gives me the creeps! Marylin Burns(the lone survivor of the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre) she is SO tiny. Terri McMinn(meat hook girl from the original Tesas Chainsaw Massacre), Corbin Bernson(L.A. Law, The Dentist, Psyche)very down to earth and real sweet heart and last but not least Linda Blair(The Excoersist)She is really cool talked a long time with us about our dogs, she runs a dog sanctuary in Northern California.
We saw some cool movies Laid To Rest a gory slasher flick, highly recomend it if you like that type, Pathogen, written and directed by a 12 year old girl from Austin, great campy B-movie, can't wait to see her newwst one The Retelling,she is now 16. iMurders is a pretty good who done it with a bit of blood, not much. More of a murder mystery than a horror flick.
Any way that is how I spent my past weekend.

Ok we have our dumpster, as of last week! YIPPEE!!!
And we got them most awesome kitchen island. It was on sale $300 off. Now we just have to put the money back into our floor fund! LOL
But this sucker is MASSIVE!! 52" X 57" and then it has a kids table that pulls out and then the measurement is 57"X 89" and it has six barstools that go with it.
Three tall ones and three short ones for the kids table.
My little wren family moved off. I SO have to post pics of the nest. Wrens crack me up when it comes to nesting sites.
My iris are blooming, they came with the house.
The wild blackberries are coming along good, looks like quite bit of berries if I can keep them from the birds. Oh and we have mulberry trees!! So it looks like I get to attempt some mulberry jam.
Thats it for now just a quick post.
I should beable to do more since I have now set up to post via my phone.

I am still alive!!!
For those who may have thought different... as you can tell by my lack of posting
I still have no internet at my house.
Hopefully with in a month or two I can get wireless service.
But first we need a trash dumpster!
And more privacy fence since a 6 foot tall privacy fence isn't tall enough for a coon hound.
Mojo showed us his athletic abilities this past weekend when he sailed over it without a running start.
So we need to add another three feet to the top. How I love my dog!
Anyway, since my last post we had a flood in the kitchen when the water line to the new fridge decided to rupture. So we get to get a new floor for our kitchen.
The fun part being that we have to move all the furniture out and rip out the old floor ourselves, or pay an extra $1400. We DON'T think so. Demolition is the fun part of home repair!
That should be done in the next couple of weeks.
My car has a recall on it. If I hit something hard enough with my front end my seat belts can catch on fire! Only I would have a car with a problem like that.
And on the craftier side of things, I bought a Domestic treadle sewing machine. It has a casket cabinet. The only thing wrong with the cabinet is that it is missing one drawer pull.
It is beautiful! All I have to do now is figure out to use it! LOL
Anyway that is what I have been up to the past few months.
Until the next time I can get some time on a borrowed computer.

This is my Tiger bamboo floor!!
Was put in yesterday. Along with the new carpet.
But I love this floor!!!
The guys who installed it freaking hated it.
When the went to put the stair cap on they had it glued in place and got the nail gun so shoot brads in to old it and it just wadded them up and spit them back out.
The stuff is so hard and dense that it won't let them penetrate.
So they ended up have to get inventive.
They drilled holes thru it, pulled it up, then got the big hammer drill out to drill in to the other piece, then cut dowls to fit those holes, then placed it all back and put screws in.
Hard work but it was worth it, even they said so.
Then again they may have just been glad to leave since it took 11 hours with a crew of 4 to do this room.

To say my dinning room is blue is an understatement!
I liked the color, can't stand white walls so this was the result!
Now do can you imagine when the cabinets are open and that chili pepper orange slaps you in the face!
But with the big off white fireplace and all my cabinets it really isn't so bad.
And specially since we have moved the furniture in there, and hung some things on the wall it really is a nice background color.

The hall, living room and pantry are all the same color.
Two lovely shades of brown, not too dark not too light.
We changed the hall light too, we took the one off the wall in the living room and just moved it around the corner. Looks good and looks good on the wallet!
And yes that orange red is the color I painted the inside of ALL my cabinets!!!
A whimsical touch to brighten it up, specially once all my colorful Tupperware is added!!!
I have another little whimsical touch I am adding as soon as they are delivered I will post those pics when I can.

It is green with a faux rock wall.
It turned out great.
Well we still need to find curtains that will fit the windows.
Kinda hard to get the curtains I like they fit a 40" window and these are 23"
I think I shall have to make some.

On the 5th we had a day of freezing rain (the day before it was 70*)
And that is the day I discovered we have bluebirds!
I had two cute little blue devils hopping in my drive way and playing in my twisted oak.

My sister was nice enough to let me use her washer while she is at work so I actually have access to the internet for a few hours!!!
I know it may sound off that I have to use her washer but 28 days after purchasing my new one it crapped out on me.
Keeps saying the door is open when it is securely locked and it won't run.
LG is sending a guy out Tuesday to fix it.(Gods know that Conn's won't send anyone all they can do is lie to ya)
Any way I thought I would post a few pics of my dinning room suite I got off of eBay.
I think it was an awesome buy at $500. Seats six and looks great in the dinning room.
Which I forgot to snap a pick of before coming to my sister's.(so sue me!)
And my granny's 25th anniversary china looks spectacular in the hutch!
I have been waiting 20 years to have a place to put those dishes now I do!

So they say what ever you do on new years is what you will be doing all year long... Well it looks as if I will be painting and do laundry all year!
but at least we now have the front bedroomCOMPLETELY done, living room is waiting flooring, kitchen has gotten new color on the ceikings trim and all cabinets.
How we found time to go eat lunch with my sister for her birthday I do not know.
Tomorrow we move in!!!

Ok me and my sister shampooed the bedroom carpet. All that is left in that room is two pieces of molding and three window sills to paint. And hubby is changing out all the switches and sockets. Oh and we have to put the pretty covers on them.

My Mother-In_Law is out of the hospital and at home doing fine. She did NOT have a heart attack, it was all stress from having to put up with ungratful house guest and not taking her meds. She got an ass chewing from the nurse, the docs and all us kids.Maybe it will work.

T'was the night before Christmas...

and we all ended up at the ER!
No shit, the ER.
We had a great dinner, sat down to watch the kids unwrap their gifts when all of a sudden the front porch burst into flames!
Hubby, his brother,nephew in law and cousin in law all bolt out the door and get the water hose after it. Then they started ripping it apart with hammers and dosing it some more.
I grab two dogs and everyone bales out the backdoor, along with dog #3.
The guys get the porch out before it ever touched the house or the either of the fire departments show up.
They ended up taking my MIL to the ER due to her heart, they thought she might have been having a heart attack due to her health problems.
They take her in the ambulance, we left after they did and we still beat it to the hospital!
By the time we get to go back and see her she is feeling no pain.
Three nitros and a moraphine shot will do that to a person.
Anyway her doc came in said the test showed no cardiac episode, but they were going to keep her for observation and more test incase she had a tiny infarction.
So now me and hubby are off to my mom's waiting for his mom to call us and let us know what is going on.
Let's just say it ended up being a Christmas we all shall never forget.

Seriously, we can appreciate how a luncheon this time of year does not accommodate our Muslim employees' beliefs. Perhaps Luigi's can hold off on serving your meal until the end of the party — the days are so short this time of year — or else package everything for take home in little foil swans. Will that work?
Meanwhile, I've arranged for members of Overeaters Anonymous to sit farthest from the dessert buffet and pregnant women will get the table closest to the restrooms. Gays are allowed to sit with each other. Lesbians do not have to sit with Gay men, each will have their own table. Yes, there will be flower arrangement for the Gay men's table. To the person asking permission to cross dress, no cross dressing allowed though. We will have booster seats for short people. Low-fat food will be available for those on a diet. We cannot control the salt used in the food we suggest for those people with high blood problems to taste first. There will be fresh fruits as dessert for Diabetics, the restaurant cannot supply "No Sugar" desserts. Sorry!

Ok out kitchen/dinning room is big. It's total measurement is 28X15 with 8 foot ceilings. And the entire thing is covered in nasty 1970 fake wood paneling.
I hate that stuff, specially when it has been painted. And since we are going to repaint it I wanted all the little cracks and crevices filled in to give me a smooth wall effect.
Everyone told me it would take so long to do it, one even said a week. Well they don't know me and my sister. We had the whole room and even two little passage ways knocked out in 90 minutes!
Tonight I get to start sanding it all, hopefully get done, so we can start taping everything up to start spraying primer and paint.

We got our beautiful French Provencal(sp?) Dinning room suite. It has table 6 chairs, hutch and a buffet. It was made in the 50's and we make owners number 3.We had to drive an hour one way to get it but well worth the $500 it cost and the time to load. Gotta love eBay!
We are now shopping for carpet and paint. Hopefully by friday we will have the colors picked out and some new paint on the walls.
Oh and the washer/dryer combo will be delivered then. No more lugging heavy stincky baskets of dirty laundry around town. I have been do that for 10 years.
We already have two coats of paint/sealer on the concrete floor in the cat room, two more coats to go,then we are putting various carpeted shelves at all sorts of angles and levels so they have tons of places to climb and perch. We are also planning on installing what hubby calls "kitty stripper poles" poles that go from floor to cieling and wrapped in sisal rope for them to climb. I am planning on putting nesting box type perches on those.Not to mention the cool kitty toys I have made and bought for them to roll around on the floor with. So by the time I get done with that room I will probably want to move in there with them.
As soon as the floor and paint in all the house is done we are moving in.

We got our house!!!
We close in a few weeks but we have it!!
It is a 1970 single story, brick house that sits on 1.8 acres loaded with oak trees.
It also has an inground pool but that is getting filled in ASAP.
Too much to repair and resurface, to much upkeep. Instead it will be the site of my veggie garden.
We are taking our mother's out to see it tomorrow before we eat, I will take some pics and post them later this weekend.
But I am so relieved!
This whole situation has been so stressful!!!
We close on the house we live in now in about a week, then hopefully the new house the next week. I want all of this over, done with and gone!

Maybe it's just me, or it could be that Halloween is tomorrow, and I am ready for a horror movie fest at my sister's.
Any way tomorrow my sweet baby boy Mojo will be one. And right now I am worried about him. He is having surgery today. He is getting nuetured. Hell of away to celebrate a birthday!(hubby says he is worried what I have planned for his in March!LOL)
He gets to come home tomorrow evening.

Ok in the end of June a realtor came to our house to inform us that we are selling.
Funny this is the first we heard about it.
But it seems that the county wants to buy up the entire block to build a new probation office.
So we have been house hunting since, to no avail.
Everytime we find a place something happens and it fell thru, that happened twice.
And those were the only two houses that came close to being what we need and want.
So anyway we went and signed the papers to sell our house this past Tuesday.
We close on December 17th and have until March 17th to vacate and take everyting and anything that we want to take out of the house.
And we are planning on doing just that.
Anyway we are going to keep looking and maybe we will find one before we have to move in with my mother-in-law.
And that is what I have been up to.
And trust me looking at 21 houses in a week really wears you out!

Mr. Bear and Mr. Rabbit

Mr. Bear and Mr. Rabbit lived in the same forest, but they didn't like each other very much. One day, while walking through the woods, and they came across a golden frog. They were amazed when the frog talked to them. The golden frog admitted that he didn't often meet anyone, but, when he did, he always gave them six wishes, so he told them that they could have three wishes each.

Mr. Bear immediately wished that all the other bears in the forest were females. The frog granted his wish. Mr. Rabbit, after thinking for a while, wished for a crash helmet. One appeared immediately, and he placed it on his head.

Mr. Bear was amazed at Mr. Rabbit's wish, but carried on with his second wish. He wished that all the bears in the neighboring forests were females as well, and the frog granted his wish. Mr. Rabbit then wished for a motorcycle. It appeared before him, and he climbed on board and started revving the engine.

Mr. Bear could not believe it and complained that Mr. Rabbit had wasted two wishes that he could have had for himself. Shaking his head, Mr. Bear made his final wish, that all the other bears in the world were females as well, leaving him as the only male bear in the world. The frog replied that it had been done, and they both turned to Mr. Rabbit for his last wish.

Mr. Rabbit revved the engine, thought for a second, then said, “I wish that Mr. Bear was gay!” and rode off as fast as he could.

Me crocheting is like me cooking or even trying to fix my computer.
I just keep doing stuff until it does what I want it too!
Like this bag.
I still don't know what kind of stitch I used to the net effect.
I like it, no one showed me I just winged it.
It is made up of random cotton yarn leftovers I had in my stash.
I made the strap EXTRA wide so if I decide to head out to the market it won't cut off the circulation in my arm. Or I may just line it and use it for a purse. But then I am still debating on getting rid of the strap and putting wooden handles on it.
Who knows what this thing will end up like.
Any way I like and that is all that matters right?
